A Day to Learn about the Libyan Elections

With elections for Libya's General National Congress scheduled for July 7, Libyan citizens abroad will vote in Canada, Germany, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States.

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the Libya Outreach Group, invite you to learn about the Libyan elections by answering questions such as:

  • What will be the roles and responsibilities of the General National Congress?
  • Who is managing the elections? What is the status of civic and voter education?
  • Who are the various stakeholders?
  • How is out-of-country voting organized?
