On Sunday, July 28, over 9,675,000 registered voters (53% of whom are women) in Cambodia will elect 123 members of the National Assembly.

This election sees the merger of the two major opposition parties that are now led being led by Sam Rainsy, a former self-exiled leader who has recently returned to the country after receiving a Royal Pardon from various convictions. The incumbent, Prime Minister Hum Sen, has led his government since 1985.
