Pivotal Midterm Poll in the Philippines

The Philippines is holding midterm local and national elections on May 13. This will be the second time precinct count optical scanners (PCOS) will be used to scan and accept ballots. The implementation of this technology has been improved since the 2010 general elections, including the procurement of more machines to increase the number of polling stations serving citizens.
