Augusta Featherston, Youth Adviser and Senior Officer
Augusta Featherston has 10 years of experience designing, implementing and delivering youth programs focused on literacy, technology and leadership development. At IFES, Featherston serves as the organization’s technical lead on youth engagement advising on youth-specific program design and other global youth initiatives.
Prior to joining IFES, she worked with various youth-focused non-profit organizations to support young people in underserved communities in Denver, Colorado and Washington, D.C. Her portfolio included projects serving young people of all ages, from elementary school through university-age students, incorporating both school-based and informal programming components.
Featherston holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a master’s degree in international development from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. She volunteers regularly as a poll worker in Washington, D.C., and as an accredited election observer for international elections.
