Nermin Nisic, Chief of Party, Georgia
Nermin Nisic currently serves as IFES Chief of Party in Georgia. He brings over 14 years of experience to this role. His current focus is on developing roundtables on election law reform; issuing subgrants to local nongovernmental organizations and media outlets; assisting the Central Election Commission to improve communications/outreach and transparency; training journalists, political parties and observers; and delivering voter education projects.
Nisic first joined IFES during the first post-war voter education campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1996. Today, he specializes in public outreach, civil society development, communications and project management. In addition to working in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia, Nisic has also contributed to projects in Afghanistan, Yemen, Kosovo and Kazakhstan.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Business Economy Faculty in Banjaluka. Nisic is fluent in Bosnian/Serbo-Croatian and English, and is currently studying Arabic.
