Une caravane de la paix en Guinée
Depuis mardi 15 juin et jusqu’au lundi 19 juin, des Guinéennes sillonnent leur pays au sein de la « Caravane de la paix ». Leur objectif est de promouvoir et d’apaiser les esprits avant les premières élections démocratiques qui se tiendront le 27 juin prochain. Plusieurs mouvements de la société civile et l’IFES, la Fondation internationale pour les systèmes internationaux, sont à l’origine de cette initiative. Post-Earthquake Constitutional Analysis of the Interruption of the Legislative and Executive Powers in Haiti
Due to the earthquake on January 12, 2010, elections for the members of the House of Representatives and one third of the Senate scheduled for February 28 and April 4, 2010, were canceled. As a result, Haiti will have no legislative power as of May 8, 2010. There will be a rupture in the constitutional order.

Le régime politique qui a été mis en place en Guinée dans le cadre de la Loi Fondamentale du 23 décembre 1990, renforcé par la Loi Constitutionnelle du 11 novembre 2001, est celui présidentiel avec une large prépondérance du Président de la République, Chef de l’Exécutif.

Political Finance in Post-Conflict Societies
This study of political finance in post-conflict society identifies lessons learned from international donor-funded efforts to support political processes in post-conflict environments in general and the funding of political parties and campaign finance in particular. The document consists of eight case studies that seek to improve our understanding not only of the political dynamics of post-conflict situations but also of how to rally international support for holding elections and supporting democratization under such circumstances.
