Voters Information Guide
This “Voters Information Guide” was released in Kane County, Illinois with the express intent to educate voters and spur voter turnout for the upcoming November 8, 1988 general elections. The pamphlet includes information on what elected offices and propositions will be up for vote it also contains sample ballot. The piece was released in lead up to the 1988 presidential election between Democratic nominee and Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis and Republican nominee and two term Vice-President George H.W. Bush.

“District's November 8th General Election Ballot is Finalized” is a news release by the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics from October 3rd 1988 stating that the District of Columbia’s November Presidential General Election ballot has been finalized after the certification of the Primary Election results and the end of the “challenge period”. The document also contains the names of presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Supporting Federal Candidates
Published by the Federal Election Commission in March 1987, “Supporting Federal Candidates: A Guide for Citizens” provides the rules and regulations on individual and group contributions to federal candidates in order to educate citizens on appropriate participation in political campaign financing. Also provided are further regulations regarding volunteering in campaigns as well as other rules regarding campaign finance and expenses.

This document contains versions of the pamphlet “Election Expenses and You.” Published in 1987 and 1992 these documents provide information on tax credits for campaign contributions, campaign finance disclosure and political party registration. In 1987 Canada held provincial elections in New Brunswick, the Northwest Territories, and Ontario and a municipal election in Québec. There was a constitutional referendum in 1992 but the next general elections were not until 1993 when Canada held its federal elections on October 25th. French and English versions of the pamphlets are included.

Some of the topics included are: General Information on Elections such as Primary and General Elections, Political Parties, Election Officials, Petitions for Nomination, Special Elections to fill vacancies, the Hatch Act, Elections of the President and Vice-President being among the other topics described.
