IFES Welcomes Stephen Boyce as Senior Global Election Technology and Cybersecurity Advisor

Stephen Boyce has joined the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) as senior global election technology and cybersecurity advisor. As the global leader in democracy promotion, IFES engages with critical issues in democracy, governance and elections around the world. Boyce will lead IFES’ technology outreach and development of tools and policy recommendations on the responsible use of technology and countering the evolving threats posed to democracy.

Boyce is a cybersecurity expert with experience working in law enforcement, the private sector, public service, and higher education. is also an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus and a cybersecurity adjunct professor at Marymount University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in cybersecurity. His research areas of interest include cyber diplomacy, data privacy, and the human factors of cybersecurity.
