Election Official Training in Bangladesh: Project Overview and Recommendations
This report details the IFES Election Official Training Assistance Project undertaken in October and November 1995. The document focuses on the technical assistance and commodities support to the Secretariat in support of its newly established Electoral Training Institute. A Guide to the Voter
In preparation for the December 7th, 1996 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Ghana, the Electoral Commission of Ghana published “A Guide to the Voter.” This guide provided Ghanaian citizens with complete voter registration information, further information on the election process and an overview of election workers. The purpose of this guide is to educate the public and contribute towards a peaceful, free, and fair election.

Using Consumer Marketing to Increase Voter Turnout
“Using Consumer Marketing to Increase Voter Turn Out” was published in 1996 by The Center for Civic Literacy and argues that the best way to treat voter apathy is treat the problem as short fall of inafffective consumer marketing. The piece purports that general statements of apathy are often due to a lack of cogent information on the candidates and election process. “Using Consumer Marketing to Increase Voter Turn Out” was published in 1996 during the lead up to that year’s November 5 local elections and presidential election between incumbent Democrat Bill Clinton and Republican Nominee Bob Dole.
