1984 Voters and Candidates Pamphlet
Issued by Washington Secretary of State Ralph Munro, the “Voters and Candidates Pamphlet” provides federal and local candidate information, a voter checklist, campaign contribution regulations, and absentee ballot information for the November 6th, 1984 state general election. This pamphlet outlines three state measures complete with full text of proposed and existing legislature, statements for and against, rebuttal statement, and full explanations as well as brief biographies of both federal and local candidates. Ronald Reagan and George H. Bush make up the Republican Presidential and Vice Presidential ticket while the Democratic challengers are Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro, respectively.

“Get out the Vote” is a booklet that was created in 1984 by the League of Women Voters. The piece provides instruction as to how to run registration and voting drives. The packet includes a voter registration checklist and a script for phone canvassing. The booklet was released in lead up to the November 6, 1984 election between incumbent presidential candidate Ronald Regan and democratic nominee Walter Mondale, as with American election cycles there was also a congressional election this year.
