A Guide to the Voter
In preparation for the December 7th, 1996 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Ghana, the Electoral Commission of Ghana published “A Guide to the Voter.” This guide provided Ghanaian citizens with complete voter registration information, further information on the election process and an overview of election workers. The purpose of this guide is to educate the public and contribute towards a peaceful, free, and fair election.

Voter Awareness Guide
The 1996 “Voter Awareness Guide” is written to inform voter educators on procedures they will have to undertake before the upcoming 1996 Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December. Instructions include details on the Voter Educator Outreach Programme, timelines and requirements of presentations on the importance of voting and the meaning of political posters. Also included is a question and brief answer section on general facts regarding the December elections.

“Resolution for Domestic Violence and Conflicts” is an educational brochure, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Fundacion Para la Promocion de la Mujer” foundation in Panama. The brochure describes the program of legal education addressed to familiarize citizens with their rights and the authorities that administrate justice and the legal proceedings. The brochure explains the specific objectives of the program as well as the issues it covers. The brochure is particularly addressed to the cause of reducing domestic violence and conflicts

“Political Leadership” is a civic education handbook, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 in Panama as part of an electoral civic education program of the Electoral Tribunal in Panama. The handbook explains and describes the concept of political leadership and its implications, such as the abilities a leader must possess, his/her qualities, his/her responsibilities and political and social status. Additionally, the handbook contains some games/questions related to the topic.
