This is a series of web pages from Kentucky’s League of Women Voter’s website. The pages predominately are focused on the senate race between Republican Jim Bunning, Democrat Scotty Baesler and Reform candidate Charles R. Arbegust. The piece contains information on nine topics including Tobacco, welfare reform, campaign finance reform, education and reproductive choice. Bunning would go on to win the November 3, 1998 election and serve two terms as Kentucky’s Junior Senator.

The DC Wise Guide
“The DC Wise Guide” is a guide issued in 1998 by the League of Women Voters in the District of Columbia with the objective of providing background information about the government of the District of Columbia, USA, and how to participate in its politics by either running for local office or by voting in the upcoming elections. Descriptions of different positions such as Mayor of D.C. or Member of the Board of Education are given as well as contact numbers for members of these teams. Finally, the dates for the Primary and General elections in 1998 are made known to the reader.

Voter Information Guide
This 1998 “Voter Information Guide” was produced by the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s State Board of Elections in lead up to that year’s primary and general elections. The piece provides answers to many frequently asked questions such as who can register to vote and where one can register to vote; it also addresses topics such as absentee ballots and basic voting procedures, including the operation of voting machines. The November 3 general elections would be the final congressional elections of Bill Clinton's two term presidency.

Voter Guide for Forsyth County
“Voter Guide for Forsyth County” is a voter handbook published in 1997 by the Forsyth County Board of Elections. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, to inform them about their rights as voters and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. Some of the procedures mentioned are the curbside voting, absentee ballots as well as regular voting procedures. “1997 General Election Guide” is a voter handbook, available in both Spanish and English, produced in 1997 by the New York City Campaign Finance Board, in lead up to the November 4, 1997 General Election. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, to inform them about their rights as voters and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. It also provides short descriptions of each one of the offices for which candidates were running for and the profiles of candidates. Moreover, it includes a chapter on the NYC Campaign Finance Program, the Ballot Proposals and the innovative introduction of the NYC Campaign Finance Board Debates 1997.

A Record of Serving All Virginians -- Earley, Attorney General
This campaign advertisement that promotes Republican State Senator Mark Earley in his campaign to become Attorney General of Virginia was circulated prior to the November 4th, 1997 elections in Virginia. The advertisement features supportive quotes from members of Congress, a brief summary of Earley’s accomplishments as State Senator and a picture of Earley with his family under the slogan, “For our Families. For our Children.” This advertisement was produced by Friends of Mark Earley ’97.
