Elections in the Russian Federation: 2016 Parliamentary Elections
On September 18, Russian voters will elect 450 Deputies to the Russian Federation State Duma (lower house of Parliament). These elections will be held under a new electoral system.

IFES Announces Winners of 2016 Photography Contest
Two compelling photographs depicting insightful moments of Election Day in India and voter registration in Nepal have won the top prizes of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems’ (IFES) 2016 Photography Contest. They were part of 10 photographs selected as finalists among the more than 100 images that were submitted to the democracy-themed competition.

IFES’ "Elections: More Inclusion, Less Violence” Program in Guatemala
Through the “Elections: More Inclusion, Less Violence” project implemented by the Consortium for Electoral and Political Processes (CEPPS), IFES provided technical assistance to the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) in three areas during the 2015 electoral process: general planning; implementation of electoral security measures; and campaign finance monitoring and oversight.
