“My National Assembly” is an informational booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Hagamos Democracia” civic group in Nicaragua and intended to familiarize Nicaraguans with the structure and responsibilities of the legislative power in Nicaragua, the National Assembly. The booklet describes the attributes of the National Assembly and the rights and duties citizens have to participate in the national politics of the country, specifically through the National Assembly. Additionally, the booklet contains the list of deputies in the National Assembly from 1990-1996.

This pamphlet provides necessary information on the 1996 Congressional Primaries as well as the positive impact the National Voter Registration Act, or “Motor Voter” has had on voter registration. The objective of this pamphlet is to emphasize the importance of voter registration and to provide services to ensure those who are disabled can also register.
