Our Time to Choose
“Our Time to Choose” is a comic book style story that follows South African’s as they learn about the voting process and get ready to cast their ballots in the upcoming 1994 national elections. The story’s aim is to energize and educate the public as to the concept of the vote and open elections. As this was the first election to feature universal adult suffrage, education material such as this was requried in order to fill the knolwege gap that existed in regards to the electoral process.

Prepare your people to vote
Published by the Evangelical Fellowship of South Africa, this letter entitled “Prepare Your People to Vote” provides voter education with a Christian bias in preparation for the upcoming 1994 elections in South Africa that marked the end of apartheid. The first edition of this letter, which also defines democracy and the biblical reasons for favoring democracy, was published in September of 1993.

“Participation without any Mysteries” is an informative comic book, available in Spanish, issued in 1993 by the Santafe of Bogota Mayor’s Office as part of the “Viva Bogota Viva” program in Colombia and is intended to encourage citizens to participate politically and promote unity among communities. The handbook encompasses the main objectives of the instructive environmental program to be implemented by the Mayor’s office and it encourages people to share the responsibility of providing a healthy environment as part of the program.

Preparing our churches for the elections
“Preparing our Churches for the Elections” is a pamphlet published by the Natal Church Leaders’ Group written to church leaders in order to educate them on the common questions of the citizens and to provide them with the proper questions to ask of political parties in order to better inform the public as to who to vote for.
