Electoral Justice Assessment of the 2018 Mexican Elections
Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed in December 2017, IFES and the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Branch of Mexico are collaborating on research, program implementation, and the sharing of knowledge in mutual priority areas. As part of this collaboration, for the 2018 Mexican elections IFES will deploy two assessment missions, pre- and post-election, to examine electoral justice processes.

Lagos Develops First State Electoral Commission Strategic Plan in Nigeria
The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) manages local elections within 20 local government areas in Nigeria, serving over 6 million registered voters, the most of any state in the country. With IFES support, LASIEC is developing a five-year strategic plan to address gaps in its capacity to deliver on its mandate.

Supporting ASEAN to Mainstream Disability Rights
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations' (ASEAN) Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights launched an initiative to develop a new regional instrument to mainstream the rights of persons with disabilities across all its development objectives, the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025: Mainstreaming the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In May 2017, the ASEAN General Election Network for Disability Access began providing inputs to the task force’s draft plan.
