“Elections” is an informative booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1999 by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama in lead up to the May 2, 1999 Panamanian General Elections. The booklet contains some information and statistics on previous elections, contains the maps and number of voters in the different districts of Panama, and a message from the President of the Electoral Tribunal describing the role of the Tribunal in the past and upcoming elections. Additionally, the booklet lists the name of the political parties participating in the elections and samples of the electoral ballots.

This special edition contains information regarding the upcoming 1999 Elections in Panama and is intended to familiarize voters with election-related matters, such as: the qualifications for voting, what are the 1999 elections about and who are Panamanians voting for, the political organization of the Republic of Panama, how can people vote, the political campaign and the responsibilities of the Electoral Tribunal in the Elections.

Election 1999: Register to vote
Published by the Educational Support Services Trust for the International Electoral Commission (IEC), this pamphlet serves as a last chance to educate South Africans on how to register to vote before the June 2nd, 1999 national elections. Encouragement to do so in the form of illustrations, an outline of the qualities of a democratic citizen, and a message from the Chief Electoral Officer of the IEC emphasizes the importance of voter registration and participation of the South African people.

“Election 99: Your Vote, Your Right,” is an educational pamphlet informing South African residents of key election and political terms in preparation for the upcoming June 2nd, 1999 national elections. This pamphlet explains the elements and importance of democracy and provides definitions regarding elections, voting, and politic in order to emphasize the necessity of free and fair elections in South Africa. Also provided are voter registration and participation instructions and illustrations included in order to stimulate election awareness in the South African youth.
