“Get Registered Today” is a page published by the National Registration Commission in Guyana in an attempt to persuade all Guyanese people to register to vote by May 17th 1991 in preparation for the upcoming elections. The appeal to the Guyanese is bolstered by an image of a Guyanese citizen registering to vote and references to registration as a “duty” of the people.

“You Also Decide” is an info brochure, available in Spanish, believed to be issued in 1988 by the CRUSADE for the Citizens’ Participation (“CRUZADA”) in Chile, in lead up to the 1988 Chilean National Plebiscite. The brochure is meant to stimulate Chilean voters’ participation in the 1988 Plebiscite. Additionally, it includes messages from various Chilean citizens addressing voters to come out and express their right to vote, as well as it provides short texts about how voting can change a society into a democratic one.

“Human Rights and Democracy” is a Civic Education Discussion Guide, available in Spanish, issued in 1989 by PARTICIPA, Chile. The guide gives a detailed explanation about the evolution of human rights, describes its characteristics and its classification, as well as it exposes how human rights have been categorized throughout the years. The handbook illustrates the connection between the government and civil rights, its guarantees as well as the obligations the citizens have in connection to the respect of human rights. “Chile Needs Your Commitment with the Future” is a flyer, available in Spanish, issued by the PARTICIPA Corporation of private law, Chile, and intended to stimulate people to vote in the 1988 national plebiscite in Chile. The flyer reaches out to the Chilean voters encouraging participation that would bring in the country the desired values of a democratic system.
