El Maltrato a Menores en Panama
"Child Abuse in Panama” is a civic education booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the Popular Legal Support Center in Panama. The booklet comes as a reflection of the Family Code and the Law nr. 27 from June 16, 1995, regarding domestic violence and child abuse. The booklet includes the following: basic concepts on child abuse, the Family Code, classification of child abuse, specialized instances that deal with victims of child abuse, and causes of child abuse. Additionally, it contains a series of recommendations made by the Popular Legal Support Center in Panama, in an effort to reduce child abuse-related occurrences.

Kofi & Ama Learn about Voter Registration
In order to educate and encourage the Ghanaian public, the Electoral Commission of Ghana produced this comic strip in 1995, a year before the national elections. Aimed directly at the youth population, this comic strip provides information regarding the new registration process, voting rules and qualifications, and other facets of basic electoral knowledge. This document was funded by the Supporting the Electoral Process (STEP) with a grant from USAID and IFES.

Chad Pre-Election Assessment Report: Multi-Donor Support Program for the Electoral Process
This report summarizes IFES observations from Chad in 1994. At the time, the Chadian government reached out to the international community for help in democratizing the nation. This report documents the transitional period to democracy, analyzes the political situation and provides political indicators gauging the Independent National Electoral Commission, political parties, civic education and civil service. The report concludes with recommendations for democratization in Chad.
