DRC Election 2006: Picture Box
One of the tools used by IFES’ local trainers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was the boîte à images, or picture box. The boîte contains 27 pictures that illustrate important concepts of democracy, free elections and civic responsibility after the polls.

“Making Every Vote Count” is the final report by the Citizens Assembly on Electoral Reform which outlines the case for electoral reform in British Columbia, Canada. The document, published in 2004, makes the recommendation for a new voting system, called BC-STV, to be used in electing member of the Legislative Assembly. The report gives its reasons for the recommendation and explains the new voting system.

Path to Rights: 8th grade teacher's manual
“Path to Rights: 8th Grade Teacher’s Manual” is a teacher manual for 8th grade students, available in Russian, issued in 2002 in Georgia by the Norwegian Refugee Council, Sida and the “Open Society-Georgia” Foundation and intended to serve as a guide for teachers when instructing students on topics such as human rights, civil freedoms, discriminations and/or mass media. The manual consists of 34 chapters covering the above mentioned topics. Additionally, it contains reflection exercises to be used by teachers when instructing students on these matters.

The Human Being and his/her Rights
“The Human Being and his/her Rights” is a brochure, available in Russian, issued in 2002 in Georgia by the Norwegian Refugee Council, Sida and the “Open Society-Georgia” Foundation and intended to serve as a human rights instructive material for parents. The brochure provides information on how to educate and teach Human Rights Student Guide to students and the reason for doing so with 8th (eight)-graders and it instructs on how to assist them with better learning.

“Are You on the List?” is a compilation of several flyers, published by Elections Canada, with the objective of encouraging Canadian citizens to register their names to the voter list in order to be eligible to vote in the Federal Elections on November 27th 2000. The document, published in 2000, includes personal voter information cards, information on how to vote from abroad, and information pamphlets about the election.
