The main parties in the election were the Social Christian Party (Partido Social Cristiano), the Ecuadorian Roldosist Party (Partido Roldosista Ecuatoriano) amd the Republican Unity Party (Unidad Republicano).

““And Now, Who will be the One Guaranteeing our Rights, Rondamon?” is a cartoon from a periodical, available in Spanish, published in 1990 in a newspaper in Ecuador.
