La Mejor Eleccion
“The Best Election” is an informative comic book, available in Spanish, issued in 1995 by the Federal Electoral Institute in Mexico, intended to familiarize children with the concept of democracy and what it means to be an active citizen in a democratic society. The comic book explains and describes the ways to successfully organize themselves when lobbying for a particular matter, as well as it teaches young children the basic steps for voting.

“Getting to Know the Civic History of Mexico 3” is an informative booklet, available in Spanish, published in 1995 by the Federal Electoral Institute, and it presents the civic historical facts and personalities throughout the months of July-September. The pamphlet is meant to amplify the knowledge of Mexican citizens regarding the most important happenings that have shaped the creation of Mexico, its identity and its historical memories that have been significant factors in the building of a democratic culture in Mexico. Some of the events mentioned are: the restoration of the Republic in July 1867 and the anniversary of the Independence in September of 1810.

“Getting to Know the Civic History of Mexico 4” is an informative booklet, available in Spanish, published in 1995 by the Federal Electoral Institute, and it presents the civic historical facts and personalities throughout the months of October-December. “Basic Electoral Glossary for the Youth” is an informative guidebook, available in Spanish, issued in 1995 by the Federal Electoral Institute in Mexico. The glossary provides basic electoral terms for youth in an effort to enhance youth’s understanding of the Mexican electoral system, including their rights and obligations as citizens. The political electoral concepts included in the glossary are defined in an easy-to-understand language that would facilitate their comprehension by all groups of young citizens.

Infoproject
“Infoproject” is an informative bulletin issued in 1995 by CENTRAS and the Agency for Press Monitoring, available in Romanian, and meant to serve as a source of information about the nature of the projects implemented by the Non-Governmental Organizations. The bulletin serves the purpose of strengthening the practices of monitoring the right to information and to create a contact ground among all the NGO’s that are functioning in Romania. The bulletin includes the personal statements of various people working in different NGOs about their role in the public society, and continues with describing certain NGOs and the type of projects being worked on by them.

Election Observation Final Report
This report summarizes IFES’ mission to Mexico for the 1994 presidential, legislative and state elections. The report concludes that the elections were conducted in a peaceful and transparent fashion, however, there is room for improvement in the arena of voting efficiency. The report details suggested improvements to the Mexican voting system.
