A Guide to the Voter
In preparation for the December 7th, 1996 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Ghana, the Electoral Commission of Ghana published “A Guide to the Voter.” This guide provided Ghanaian citizens with complete voter registration information, further information on the election process and an overview of election workers. The purpose of this guide is to educate the public and contribute towards a peaceful, free, and fair election.

“Now Yes! On November 17, Elect Honest and Capable Authorities for your Municipality” is a civic education poster, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Decidamos” group in Paraguay, in lead up to the 1996 Paraguayan Municipal Elections. The poster is meant to motivate people to vote and it instructs them on the voting procedures.

“We all Must Register” is a registration/voter motivation brochure, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Decidamos” group in Paraguay in lead up to the 1996 Paraguayan Municipal Elections. The brochure is meant to stimulate voters to register in the new permanent civic registry that would allow them to vote in the elections. The brochure explains the exact steps to be taken for a correct registration process.

Voter Awareness Guide
The 1996 “Voter Awareness Guide” is written to inform voter educators on procedures they will have to undertake before the upcoming 1996 Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December. Instructions include details on the Voter Educator Outreach Programme, timelines and requirements of presentations on the importance of voting and the meaning of political posters. Also included is a question and brief answer section on general facts regarding the December elections.

“Do You Think Your Vote does not count?” is a voter brochure developed in 1996, available in both Romanian and English, by the Pro Democracy Association in lead up to the June 2, 1996 Local Elections in Romania and intended to stimulate people to exercise their right to vote. The brochure contains a description of the local offices to be elected by the voters: the Mayor, the Local Council, and the Regional Council. Additionally, it contains information about voting instructions and voter registration as well as it includes a list of the irregularities that could be detected during the voting process and how to deal with them when needed.
