Online Training Launched to Engage Pakistani Women with Disabilities in Public Policy Reform
The “Power to Persuade” training builds the skills of women with disabilities to advocate with policymakers, elected officials and other political powerbrokers for reform. In response to COVID-19, IFES adapted its training methodology for online implementation in Pakistan in July 2020.

On October 27, Argentines went to the polls to elect a president and vice president, 24 senators and 130 deputies. A runoff will be held on November 24 if no presidential candidate receives at least 45 percent of the vote, or 40 percent with a 10-point marign over the runner-up. Creating Opportunities for Syrians to Shape Their Country’s Transition
Over the last several years, IFES has empowered Syrian women, youth, and marginalized groups to be part of a meaningful discourse over their country’s future. IFES has built the capacity of these groups on key topics and challenges around a democratic transition so they can contribute to policy discussions and advocate for inclusive, democratic practices. IFES has also connected participants with decision makers and transitional leaders to increase two-way dialogue between civil society and Syrian opposition leaders.

Regional Director on “The Elections We Want” in Africa
