Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Youth Democratic Engagement in Africa
On August 26, IFES and Nigeria-based youth civil society organization Yiaga Africa signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). On August 10, 280 young people gathered in Mandalay, Myanmar, to celebrate International Youth Day. Otito Greg-Obi Elected to Executive Committee of U.S Civil Society Working Group on Women, Peace and Security
On May 20, IFES Gender Program Coordinator Otito Greg-Obi was elected to the 2019-20 Executive Committee of the United States Civil Society Working Group (CSWG) on Women, Peace and Security (WPS). The CSWG is a nonpartisan, collaborative network of civil society organizations that provides technical assistance to governmental agencies seeking to integrate the WPS agenda into national security efforts.
