“Building a Safer Country for All” is a civic education discussion guidebook, available in Spanish, issued by the Department of Political Science within the University of the Andes, Colombia. The guidebook is intended to encourage community participation in the effort to reduce violence and crime in Colombia through various means such as increasing the programs of social development, educating people in the spirit of civic and moral values, to stimulate young people to take part in community activities and/or to strengthen the judicial system and reform the police. Additionally, the guidebook contains some surveys.

La Participacion sin Misterios
“Participation without any Mysteries” is an informative comic book, available in Spanish, issued in 1993 by the Santafe of Bogota Mayor’s Office as part of the “Viva Bogota Viva” program in Colombia and is intended to encourage citizens to participate politically and promote unity among communities. The handbook encompasses the main objectives of the instructive environmental program to be implemented by the Mayor’s office and it encourages people to share the responsibility of providing a healthy environment as part of the program.
