Guatemala’s Supreme Electoral Tribunal and USAID Formalize Cooperation on Electoral Processes
On March 26, Guatemala’s Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) signed a letter of understanding (LoU) with USAID to formalize their cooperation through the Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening “Electoral Governance and Reforms Program.” IFES worked with USAID and the TSE to finalize the LoU draft prior to the ceremony.

Guatemalan National Disability Council Proposes Electoral Law Reform to Increase Access
On October 31, the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (CONADI) presented proposed reforms to the Elections and Political Parties Law (LEPP) to the Congressional Disabilities Affairs Committee and to the Board of Magistrates of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE).
