In May of 1996, Altay Kozhaev wrote this article in the New Generation, entitled “How Students Elected a President,” which discusses a political game played by Kazakh first and second graders in a local school. “My National Assembly” is an informational booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Hagamos Democracia” civic group in Nicaragua and intended to familiarize Nicaraguans with the structure and responsibilities of the legislative power in Nicaragua, the National Assembly. The booklet describes the attributes of the National Assembly and the rights and duties citizens have to participate in the national politics of the country, specifically through the National Assembly. Additionally, the booklet contains the list of deputies in the National Assembly from 1990-1996.
