The document explains the organizational structure of the public powers of Venezuela as well as it refers to the 1993 General Elections, in an effort to familiarize voters with basic knowledge about the elections. The document also provides information on the electoral system and explains what they are voting for in these elections.

“Conciencia Democrática” is the January 1993 23rd edition of the “Conciencia Democrática” newsletter, available in Spanish, issued by the Pro-Democracy Center in Panama. The newsletter contains editorials on voluntary projects organized by the Pro-Democracy Center, information about its projects and how to get involved, as well as a range of editorials on democracy and the connection between the community’s participation and the success of democracy.
