Red Ciudadana de Observadores Electorales: Memorias 1996
“Citizens’ Network of Electoral Observers: Memories of 1996” is an informational booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Citizen Participation” movement in the Dominican Republic. The booklet describes the formation and functioning of a citizen-based election observer network for the 1996 Presidential Election in the Dominican Republic. The three chapters focus on the context the network of observers emerged from, the creation and the structure of the network, as well as the role it had in the election observing process.

This pamphlet summarizes the “Easy Reader Voter Guide,” which provides a non-partisan breakdown of state wide races and ballot measures in hopes of facilitating voters’ decision making. The guide provides a description of California’s eight political parties as well as statements and photographs of 1996’s presidential candidates.
