“Subordinated to the Civil Power” is a civic education comic brochure, available in Spanish, issued in 1993 by the “Decidamos” group in Paraguay. The brochure is meant to familiarize Paraguayans with the changes that the 1992 Constitution has brought to the society and this particular edition mentions the matter of having a non-partisan military serve the interest of the civil society.

The Campaign Game
This document contains five separate civic education board games. Each game is focused on a different theme such as “Media Land,” a game about the media in politics, or “Land of Liberty,” a game about citizenship in the US. The games came out in 1992 the same year as the presidential election between George H.W. Bush and William Jefferson Clinton.

The time has come register and vote -- Registration Deadline
This piece of civic education material was prepared by David D. Orr, Illinois’ Cook County Clerk, in lead up to the November 3, 1992 general elections. The piece describes the voter registration and physical voting processes and highlights October 5th as the final day to register to vote in that year’s general elections. The 1992 elections featured the presidential election between Republican incumbent George H.W. Bush and Democratic nominee Bill Clinton.

“Vote!” is a short pamphlet from 1992 produced by the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics which encourages the reader to vote in the Presidential Election on November 3rd 1992. Registered Voters will have received their new Voter Registration Card and have been informed of what other offices will be voted on in the November Election. The document also includes information on Advisory Neighborhood Commission elections – the candidates for which will appear on the November ballot.

“Vote 1992” was produced in St. Louis County, Missouri in lead up to that year’s general elections. The piece goes over the electoral process and provides voters with a synopsis of key dates in the election season and how to vote absentee or if you are handicapped. Presidential elections held on November 3rd of that year featured a race between Republican incumbent George H.W. Bush and Democratic nominee Bill Clinton.

“Vote Smart Studies” is a 1992 publication of “Project Vote Smart.” This booklet includes a description of the US political parties, a section called “The Voters Self Defense Manual” and a glossary of political terms. The literature was released during the 1992 presidential campaign. “Project Vote Smart” is a non-partisan and non-profit research organization.
