Political Finance in Post-Conflict Societies
This study of political finance in post-conflict society identifies lessons learned from international donor-funded efforts to support political processes in post-conflict environments in general and the funding of political parties and campaign finance in particular. The document consists of eight case studies that seek to improve our understanding not only of the political dynamics of post-conflict situations but also of how to rally international support for holding elections and supporting democratization under such circumstances.

“Guide: Step by Step” is an electoral handbook, available in Spanish, issued in 2006 by the Supreme Electoral Council in Nicaragua in lead up to the November 5, 2006 Nicaraguan General Elections. The handbook is supposed to instruct the polling station officials about their responsibilities before and during the elections and to serve as guidance through the voting procedures. Additionally, the guide contains examples of the documents needed by the polling station officials when following the required voting procedures.

Haiti Constituency Building for Judicial Reform (2001-2004)
In Haiti, IFES worked with civil society between 2001 and 2004. The project, funded by USAID, aimed to build coalitions and promote support for justice sector reform and respect for human rights. The program strengthened the capacity of civil society to be effective, knowledgeable advocates around a common justice reform agenda.
