“Voter Registration in Texas” is a voter handbook produced in 1990, available in both English and Spanish, by George S. Bayoud, Jr., Secretary of State of Texas, in lead up to the 1990 Elections in Texas. The guide is designed to inform Texans about voter qualifications, the voter registration process, such as obtaining the voter certificate, registering when change of address occurs and/or in case of name change.

A Guide to Conducting a Successful Voter Registration/Education Drive
“A Guide to Conducting a Successful Voter Registration/ Education Drive” is a Voter Registration Manual produced in 1991, as a result of a Texas voter registration drive program, by John Hannah, Jr., Secretary of State of Texas and intended to help community units plan and conduct effective voter registration drives among eligible voters to encourage voter registration. The manual discusses how to organize a voter registration drive, different methods of structuring the campaign, press and publicity coverage, materials required and ideas for following up after the drive has been completed. Additionally, it contains a 1992 Election Calendar with the most important dates of the 1992 Elections. The manual also contains a voter registration application sample to be distributed.

Registration and Voting Information for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities in Chicago
This booklet, published in October of 1991, was distributed to help elderly and disabled people from Chicago, Illinois. The literature contains information regarding how to deal with registering under a changed name or address, what the necessary steps for voting are and how to fill out a registration card as well as information regarding the assistance of the hearing impaired and handicapped. The piece also goes over absentee voting for a hospitalized voter. There is also a Spanish version of the document included.

Facts for Voters on Registration and Voting
“Facts for Voters on Registration and Voting” was put together by David D. Orr, Illinois’ Cook County Clerk, in lead up to Illinois’ local elections in November of 1991 of that year. The piece walks people through the voting and registration processes and includes sections on absentee voting and eligibility for voter registration. Furthermore, the pamphlet includes a timeline of important registration and primary dates including the date of the general election, November 5, 1991.

Jackson County Voter Pamphlet
“Jackson County Voter Pamphlet” is a voter guide published in 1990 by Kathy Beckett, Jackson County Clerk, in lead up to the March 27, 1990 Regular District Election, conducted by mail. In this election, Jackson County voters were asked to vote on local school district board of directors, a proposed Jackson-County community college formation and directors, education service district directors and funding measures for Rogue Valley Transportation District and the City of Phoenix. Additionally, the pamphlet includes a sample ballot, which lists all of the candidates and measures on the ballot, as well as their statements in support or against the measures. Moreover, the voter pamphlet also provides instructions on how to vote.

“The First Juvenile Voting” is an unfilled registration tablet, available in Spanish, approved in 1990 by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal in Ecuador. The unfilled registration book is meant to be used for the “First Juvenile Voting” pushing for children’s rights. The registration book consists of personal information sections such as: name/last name, age, gender, home address, church affiliation, and if applicable school grade.

“Registration of Children Starting on Friday” is a periodical article, available in Spanish, published on May 7, 1990 by Florha Proano de Simancas in the “Ultimas Noticias” newspaper in Ecuador. The article features the coverage of child registration for the June 30, 1990 child elections in Ecuador. Additionally, it highlights the impoverished circumstances a large number of the Ecuadorian children experience and it lists the rights to be voted on by the children in order to understand what their main concerns are.
