This booklet was produced in 1989 by the Office of the Secretary of State of Iowa to educate “new comers” to the city of Des Moines. The piece includes sections on the city’s higher education, recreational opportunities as well as maps of the city and information on voting registration of new residents. Voter registration cards and details about what documents are necessary for a successful registration process the registration process are included in the pamphlet as well.

“Registered Voters by Region” is a voter registration record issued in 1988 and referring to the number of registered voters in the 1988 Chilean National Plebiscite. This particular document is comprised of tables illustrating the voter registration records by regions for both men and women. Additionally, it illustrates the statistics of foreigners and analphabets who reside in those particular regions, as well as the number of canceled registrations by region and by cause.

Are You Properly Registered to Vote in the Presidential Election?
“Are You Properly Registered to Vote in the Presidential Election?” is a news release by the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics from September 16th 1988 informing registered voters who have moved without sending written notice of their new address must do so in order to vote in the November 8th 1988 Presidential Election. The document issues a stern warning that voter registration will be cancelled if the address is not up to date.

Board of Elections and Ethics from September 6th 1988 notifying District of Columbia residents that there is a 24 hour telephone number they may call in order to register to vote in the November 1988 Presidential Election. Additionally, it informs the reader of “National Voter Registration Week” – established by the National League of Women Voters – that is coming up soon.
