Working with Women Leaders and their Allies for Equality
On International Women’s Day, and every day, we honor and support the tireless efforts of women's rights advocates. One of the ways these women leaders affect change is by working with and building partnerships with male allies. With support from the U.S. Agency for International Development, IFES has developed the Male Allies for Leadership Equality (MALE) training module, an addendum to IFES’ women’s leadership training curriculum.

IFES Trains Indonesian Regional Election Administrators on Disability Rights
IFES, the lead partner in the General Network for Disability Access (AGENDA), piloted a disability rights and elections module of the Building Resources in Democracy, Governance, and Elections curriculum in Bogor, Indonesia from April 6-7, 2016. Participants discussed disability inclusion throughout the election cycle with regional Commissioners.

First Pilot Observation on Election Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities Held in Haiti
During the legislative elections held on August 9, 2015, a pilot team of 30 Haitians with disabilities conducted Haiti’s first election access observation at 15 polling stations across the city of Port-au-Prince.
