Collection of ballots from the 1995 general election in Tanzania. The 1995 election marked the first multi-party elections in Tanzania. The first ballot was for the Presidential election, where the main candidates were Benjamin MKAPA and Augustine MREMA. The following two ballots are for National Assembly elections.

“A Democratic Experience” is the first edition of the “Horizonte Ciudadano” informative bulletin, available in Spanish, issued in 1995 by the Federal Electoral Institute in Mexico. The bulletin discusses, through illustrations, a democratic experience for children, intended to familiarize young children with the benefits that come with actively participating in a democratic setting. This first edition discusses how a group of children organize themselves to participate in a camping trip and to take part in the elections of the student council of their school.

“The Best Election” is an informative comic book, available in Spanish, issued in 1995 by the Federal Electoral Institute in Mexico, intended to familiarize children with the concept of democracy and what it means to be an active citizen in a democratic society. The comic book explains and describes the ways to successfully organize themselves when lobbying for a particular matter, as well as it teaches young children the basic steps for voting.
