Proposed Constitutional Amendments to be voted on at the November 3, 1998 Special Election
Authorized by Virginia State Board of Elections Secretary M. Bruce Meadows, this document provides information on five proposed constitutional amendments that appear on the November 3rd 1998 Special Election ballot. For each proposed amendment the ballot question, explanation, present constitution and background, as well as the proposed change are provided.

The DC Wise Guide
“The DC Wise Guide” is a guide issued in 1998 by the League of Women Voters in the District of Columbia with the objective of providing background information about the government of the District of Columbia, USA, and how to participate in its politics by either running for local office or by voting in the upcoming elections. Descriptions of different positions such as Mayor of D.C. or Member of the Board of Education are given as well as contact numbers for members of these teams. Finally, the dates for the Primary and General elections in 1998 are made known to the reader.

Sample Ballot
This Virginia Sample Ballot in preparation for the November 3rd, 1998 General and Special Elections was authorized by the Electoral Board of the County of Fairfax. It includes the race between Thomas M. Davis III and C.W. “Levi” Levy for the House of Representatives Member from the 11th District, five constitutional amendments, and two Fairfax county proposed bonds.

Voter Information Guide
This 1998 “Voter Information Guide” was produced by the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s State Board of Elections in lead up to that year’s primary and general elections. The piece provides answers to many frequently asked questions such as who can register to vote and where one can register to vote; it also addresses topics such as absentee ballots and basic voting procedures, including the operation of voting machines. The November 3 general elections would be the final congressional elections of Bill Clinton's two term presidency.

Young Texas Voters
“Young Texas Voters” is a voter handbook issued in 1998, available in both English and Spanish, by the Election Division of the Office of the Texas Secretary of State, in lead up to the November 3, 1998 General Election in Texas. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, the voter registration process, and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. Additionally, it contains an Election Calendar with the most important dates of the November 3, 1998 General Election in Texas.

Bosnia and Herzegovina 1997 IFES Voter and Civic Education Project
This report summarizes the actions of IFES voter and civic education efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1997. The report details the recruitment and training of local employees, interviews with officials participating in municipal elections and pre-election democracy training. The report further discusses the role of local NGOs, materials development, post-election implementation and voter registration. The report concludes with recommendations for the future. This report also provides documentation from the elections, including election and registration manuals in Serbo-Croatian, and a copy of the “Handbook on local non-governmental organizations in Central Bosnia.”
