Specifically, this report discusses the preparatory stages of conducting the survey, information collection and the selection and training of interviewers. An Overview of the Easy Reader Voter Guide
This pamphlet summarizes the “Easy Reader Voter Guide,” which provides a non-partisan breakdown of state wide races and ballot measures in hopes of facilitating voters’ decision making. The guide provides a description of California’s eight political parties as well as statements and photographs of 1996’s presidential candidates. The guide was used by business leaders, senior groups, civil organizations and “County Voter Registrars.” “Easy Reader Voter Guide” was published in 1996 during the lead up to that year’s November 5 local elections and presidential election between incumbent Democrat Bill Clinton and Republican Nominee Bob Dole.
