Voter Guide for Forsyth County
“Voter Guide for Forsyth County” is a voter handbook published in 1997 by the Forsyth County Board of Elections. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, to inform them about their rights as voters and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. Some of the procedures mentioned are the curbside voting, absentee ballots as well as regular voting procedures. Additionally, it provides a brief description of the types of elections, from the Primary Elections to the Presidential ones.

1997 General Election Guide
“1997 General Election Guide” is a voter handbook, available in both Spanish and English, produced in 1997 by the New York City Campaign Finance Board, in lead up to the November 4, 1997 General Election. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, to inform them about their rights as voters and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. It also provides short descriptions of each one of the offices for which candidates were running for and the profiles of candidates. Moreover, it includes a chapter on the NYC Campaign Finance Program, the Ballot Proposals and the innovative introduction of the NYC Campaign Finance Board Debates 1997.

A Record of Serving All Virginians -- Earley, Attorney General
This campaign advertisement that promotes Republican State Senator Mark Earley in his campaign to become Attorney General of Virginia was circulated prior to the November 4th, 1997 elections in Virginia. The advertisement features supportive quotes from members of Congress, a brief summary of Earley’s accomplishments as State Senator and a picture of Earley with his family under the slogan, “For our Families. For our Children.” This advertisement was produced by Friends of Mark Earley ’97.

This 1997 flyer advertises advance voting option that will be available in Johnson County, Kansas. The literature points out all of the positive aspects to voting early and also provides some written instructions on casting an early ballot. Furthermore, included in this packet is an application for an advanced voting ballot.

“Cost of Convenience” is a packet that was published in 1997 in Johnson County, Kansas and primarily focuses on the advanced voting process in the state. The piece looks at the effects, both logistically and financially, that the new system will have. Furthermore, although there will be many price increases due to the new system, the document also includes sections on cost savings from donations that Johnson County has received.
