The November 4th 1986 “Voters and Candidates Pamphlet” published by Washington Secretary of State Ralph Munro emphasizes the importance of voter participation in the state and the importance of voting opportunities for the disabled such as the recent implementation of Braille voting pamphlets. Along with information on six state measures, this 1986 pamphlet provides biographical information on candidates running for US Senate and other state representatives. Campaign contribution regulations, a voter checklist and telephone service, absentee ballot information, and district maps are also provided to increase voter education and to ensure voting ease.
