“Massachusetts Information for Voters 1978” is a pamphlet that was released by the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth in lead up to the November 7, 1978 mid-term elections. The book goes over the seven proposed amendments to the state constitution as well as provides a sample ballot and descriptions of the prospective candidates. The proposed amendments to the state constitution deal with issues such as the state budget deadline, charter commission deadline and property classification for tax purposes.

“Voters Pamphlet” is a voter guide published in 1986 by Barbara Roberts, Oregon’s Secretary of State, in lead up to the May 20, 1986 Primary Election, and intended to inform the people of Oregon about voter registration requirements, absentee voting requirements, elections by mail, and voting at polling places. The pamphlet is divided into separate sections for Measures, Partisan Candidates and Nonpartisan Candidates. The pamphlet contains the complete text of each proposed measure, the shorter ballot title version, an impartial statement explaining the measure and its effect and arguments filed by proponents and/or opponents. Additionally, it contains statements and photographs of the candidates with information on occupation, occupational and educational background, as well as prior governmental experience.
