Virginia Elections 1997
On October 30th, 1997, The Washington Post published a special section entitled “Virginia Election 1997: Voters Guide” which provides a detailed breakdown of all candidates and important issues for the upcoming November elections. “Who to Vote For?” is a poster, available in Spanish, issued in 1997 by the “Equipo Maiz” group in El Salvador, in lead up to the 1997 Legislative Election in El Salvador. The poster contains information on the political parties to participate in the elections, such as: their logo, name, founding year and message. The poster is meant to encourage voters to inform themselves on the political parties to run in the 1997 Legislative Elections in El Salvador.

Voter Guide for Forsyth County
“Voter Guide for Forsyth County” is a voter handbook published in 1997 by the Forsyth County Board of Elections. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, to inform them about their rights as voters and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. Some of the procedures mentioned are the curbside voting, absentee ballots as well as regular voting procedures. Additionally, it provides a brief description of the types of elections, from the Primary Elections to the Presidential ones.

1997 General Election Guide
“1997 General Election Guide” is a voter handbook, available in both Spanish and English, produced in 1997 by the New York City Campaign Finance Board, in lead up to the November 4, 1997 General Election. The guide is meant to provide voters with information about voting, to inform them about their rights as voters and the procedures that lead to a correct exercise of voting. It also provides short descriptions of each one of the offices for which candidates were running for and the profiles of candidates. Moreover, it includes a chapter on the NYC Campaign Finance Program, the Ballot Proposals and the innovative introduction of the NYC Campaign Finance Board Debates 1997.

A Record of Serving All Virginians -- Earley, Attorney General
This campaign advertisement that promotes Republican State Senator Mark Earley in his campaign to become Attorney General of Virginia was circulated prior to the November 4th, 1997 elections in Virginia. The advertisement features supportive quotes from members of Congress, a brief summary of Earley’s accomplishments as State Senator and a picture of Earley with his family under the slogan, “For our Families. For our Children.” This advertisement was produced by Friends of Mark Earley ’97.

“Elections ‘97” is an informative booklet, available in Spanish, issued in 1997 by the “Equipo Maiz” group in El Salvador, in lead up to the 1997 Legislative and Municipal Elections. The booklet contains five chapters which focus on the following topics: politics and citizen participation, the elections, and the political parties in El Salvador. The aim of the booklet is to increase citizens’ participation in the March 1997 Legislative and Municipal Elections and to encourage them to get informed on the agenda of the political parties to run in the elections.

State of Alaska Official Election Pamphlet -- Region I
This document was published in Alaska on November 5, 1996. The piece includes several sections on election and voting protocol in the state. Some of these sections include a list of national and state wide candidates for region one of Alaska, times and locations of polling stations and how the absentee ballot process works. The piece came out briefly after the 1996 Presidential elections between Bob Dole and William Jefferson Clinton.
