La Participacion sin Misterios
“Participation without any Mysteries” is an informative comic book, available in Spanish, issued in 1993 by the Santafe of Bogota Mayor’s Office as part of the “Viva Bogota Viva” program in Colombia and is intended to encourage citizens to participate politically and promote unity among communities. The handbook encompasses the main objectives of the instructive environmental program to be implemented by the Mayor’s office and it encourages people to share the responsibility of providing a healthy environment as part of the program.

Preparing For Election In Yemen: Final Activity Report on the Poll Worker Training Project
This report describes an IFES mission to Yemen to provide a continuous training presence to institutionalize the lessons learned by election officials and pollworkers in other parts of the world. IFES attempted to ensure that Yemeni pollworkers received a thorough understanding of the election law and of the regulations and procedures established by the SEC.

Project X – A Different History Lesson is a book written by Belinda Mendelowitz and first published in 1993 by Macmillan Boleswa Publishers is dedicated to the youth of South Africa and highlights the importance of youth voter education. This fictional story of a 4th grade class who become educated on ideas of tolerance, freedom of speech, and voting after the announcement of the first democratic election in South Africa serves as an example of South African attempts to educate the youth on the importance of democratic and free elections.

“1992 Constitution. What are you Doing Here, Kid?” is a civic education comic handbook, available in Guarani, issued in 1993 as part of the “Decidamos” Public Expression Campaign in Paraguay. The handbook is meant to familiarize Paraguayans with the new Constitution adopted in 1992 and to explain the democratic changes that stand at the basis of it. The comic briefly mentions the reason behind the adoption of the 1992 constitution and the advantages it would bring to the Paraguayan people.
