The Term Limits Question and More
“The Term Limits Question and More” is a voter handbook, available in both English and Spanish, published in 1996 by the New York City Campaign Finance Board, in lead up to the November 5, 1996 General Election. This voter guide contains general voting information to instruct people about their rights as voters and the procedures that lead to the correct exercise of voting. At the same time, this 1996 NYC Voter Guide gives voters information about voting on municipal ballot proposals, including the referendum on term limits and statements for and against this ballot proposal. Summary information is also provided on state ballot questions and any other municipal ballot questions that may be before the voters.

Thukela Local Government Election 29 May 1996
In preparation for the Thuleka local government elections on May 29th 1996, this newsletter was distributed in order to educate Thuleka residents to participate and vote. Information such as voting rules and instructions and functions of the offices up for election are supplemented with illustrations reinforcing this basic elections knowledge. This newsletter was published by the Institute for Democracy in Africa in 1996 and is written in both English and Zulu.

“We all Must Register” is a registration/voter motivation brochure, available in Spanish, issued in 1996 by the “Decidamos” group in Paraguay in lead up to the 1996 Paraguayan Municipal Elections. The brochure is meant to stimulate voters to register in the new permanent civic registry that would allow them to vote in the elections. The brochure explains the exact steps to be taken for a correct registration process.

Utah Voter Information Pamphlet
“Utah Voter Information Pamphlet” is a voter handbook issued in 1996 by the Utah Office of the Governor, in lead up to the November 5, 1996 Election in Utah. This handbook was designed to provide Utah voters with detailed information about judicial retention elections and the amendments to Utah’s State Constitution. Additionally, the handbook contains photographs and short statements from the candidates for U.S Congress and Utah’s executive offices. Included is a list of candidates for state school board and legislative offices as well as the names and phone numbers of Utah’s eight registered political parties. The 1996 “Voter Awareness Guide” is written to inform voter educators on procedures they will have to undertake before the upcoming 1996 Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December. Instructions include details on the Voter Educator Outreach Programme, timelines and requirements of presentations on the importance of voting and the meaning of political posters. Also included is a question and brief answer section on general facts regarding the December elections.

This 1996 document provides voters with information on the upcoming primary election in Kankakee County, Illinois that will be held on March 19, 1996. The document goes over the candidate positions on the ballot, provides some basic voter instruction and also contains a list of precinct polling locations. Also included were sample ballots from the different parties for the upcoming primaries. This piece was released in lead up to the November 5, 1996 general elections including the presidential race between Democratic incumbent Bill Clinton and Republican nominee Bob Dole.
