IFES Voter Registration Campaign Lebanon 2009
For the first time in Lebanon, the Ministry of Interior launched a media campaign to raise awareness of the voter registration process. The campaign encouraged the public to check their details on the voter register between February 10 and March 10, 2009. The campaign is supported by IFES under an award from USAID.

First Independent Election in Kosovo
IFES assisted Kosovo's Central Election Commission (CEC) with a broad set of election assistance programming for Kosovo's first independent election on November 15, 2009. These images were taken at the Count and Results Center (CRC) where IFES provided advisory services to the CEC for training and set up of the count facility, logistics advice, data entry support, and auditing of results during the week following the poll.

Images from IFES-Indonesia Photo Contest Celebrating Acehs Political Participation
In support of Aceh's Independent Election Commission's (KIP) media center activities, IFES-Indonesia commissioned a photo competition to highlight some of the remarkable moments seen during the first elections where Acehnese political parties participated alongside national parties in local legislative elections. These elections were held in April 2009. The entries are from photojournalists, citizens and observers. The panel of judges consisted of a KIP Commissioner, IFES staff and a professional Jakarta based photojournalist. The award ceremony was a widely covered event by Aceh's print and TV media.
