Indonesia Post-Election National Survey 2014
Through its national electoral surveys, IFES has provided public preparedness and public perceptions data for all stakeholders. The most recent of these electoral surveys, conducted in June 2014 in partnership with the Lembaga Survei Institute (LSI), captures the public opinion of Indonesian voters following the April 2014 legislative elections and leading up to the 2014 presidential elections.

The International Foundation for Electoral System (IFES) is deeply saddened by and laments the loss of former Senate Majority Leader Howard Baker, who was also White House Chief of Staff during the Reagan administration and U.S. Ambassador to Japan. He served on our Board of Directors from 2005-2011.

IFES Condemns Assassination of Libyan Human Rights Leader Salwa Bugaighis
The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is deeply saddened by the assassination of Libyan human rights lawyer and activist Salwa Bugaighis and strongly condemns this cowardly act of violence. We offer our condolences to her family and remember her dedication, commitment and ultimate sacrifice for women’s participation in the political process and equal rights in Libya.

IFES Leads Side-Event at UN CRPD Conference of States Parties
The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) served as an observer to the 7th Conference of States Parties to the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities from June 10-12, 2014 at UN Headquarters in New York City. As a consultative member of the UN Economic and Social Council, IFES has the ability to observe deliberations by the member states on implementation of the disability treaty as well as to host side events open to states and civil society.

On May 7, 2014, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The overarching goal of this collaboration is to support the Commission in exercising its mandate in conducting fair, transparent and credible elections.

Equal Access at the United Nations
